Mile High Youth Corps Community Impact
For the past 20 years, MHYC has helped youth make a difference in themselves and their communities through meaningful service opportunities and educational activities.
Water Conservation Corpsmember, Deja Sanders, summed up Mile High Youth Corps impact best:
“The cause is always a lot bigger than the labor. You might think, oh putting in toilets is not that glamorous. It’s gross, it’s icky. But once you see the impact that four million gallons of water are saved, people’s water bills are going down... we’re making a huge difference, not only with our own community but with our state, and hopefully starting a trend for the rest of the world. So try to have an open mind and really see the overall impact and not just the toilet at hand.”
