YouthBuild is a comprehensive job training, education, counseling and leadership development program for out-of-school and unemployed young adults ages 18 to 24. Denver's YouthBuild program is a collaborative effort between Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) and the Denver Housing Authority and addresses two of the most critical issues facing our community: affordable housing and unemployment among young adults.
YouthBuild helps young adults develop skills in the construction trades, prepare for the workforce and achieve their educational goals. By integrating paid work experience on affordable housing projects with leadership development, educational activities and career exploration, YouthBuild helps young adults develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, the workforce and everyday life.
