Mile High Youth Corps is excited to build meaningful engagement opportunities for supporters, Corpsmembers alumni and community members in the wake of COVID-19. Please review the list of 2020 virtual events MHYC is hosting below. Sponsors have the opportunity to be recognized for their generous support across all three events. Your support ensures young adults have the employment, education and training they need to build a path forward amid uncertain times.

2020 Engagement

Keys to Success: Youth and Employment Panel: Wednesday, October 14 5pm-6:30pm. In the wake of COVID-19, young adults 16-24 years old have experienced double the rate of unemployment (25.3%) compared to individuals over 25 years old. For over 28 years, Mile High Youth Corps has provided transformational impact to this age group. Join us for an interactive and engaging moderated panel as we explore successful strategies around youth and employment.

Women in Construction Panel: Friday, October 30 10am-11:30am Mile High Youth Corps will host a virtual career panel for current Corpsmembers and Alumni centered on women in the construction sector. Panelist will share their unique experiences and will provide insight on changes happening in the sector.

Alumni Town Hall: Thursday, November 19, 7pm-8pm Since 1992, Mile High Youth Corps has served over 4,100 young adults in career pathways in land conservation, energy & water conservation, construction and healthcare. Many are currently employed as wildland firefighters, nurses, environmental advocates, electricians and change makers in their communities! The Alumni Council will be hosting a town hall for MHYC alums to provide information on the state of the corps and opportunities for alumni to connect.
